WineBlueBook Newsletters

WineBlueBook (formerly QPRwines) is a wine buying guide that groups the major critics' average wine ratings, then lists them by price to determine overall value – the Quality Price Ratio for wine.

WineBlueBook is published 12 times a year (delivered via email) and answers the question "Is a wine rating of 90 for a 2003 Australian Shiraz a good value for $30?" or Bordeaux, or Cabernet, etc...

Each issue profiles the wines that were scored by the wine critics the previous month and includes the average score, availability, street price and compares that price to the average price of similar scoring wines.

Donald L. from Oregon writes...

"With WineBlueBook I did not have to guess which Cabs were worth the high posted prices and which were not. I just went down the list to find the best price to quality ratios, and bought those wines. I undoubtedly saved $100-200 in this one trip, and also bought better wines than I otherwise might have."

Eric P. from New York writes...

"No longer do I go seek out the wine; I let the wine come to me through WineBlueBook. There will always be certain favorite wineries that I'll have, but more and more I rely on WineBlueBook to help me source value wines and then seek them out through wine-searcher for purchase."

Cuyler B. from San Francisco writes...

"In the world of ever-increasing wine prices, it is often hard to determine which wines deserve the price that are stuck on the bottle. WineBlueBook makes it very simple to identify those value wines - which in turn, takes the stress out of guessing. WineBlueBook will be an invaluable tool in my selection of the newly released, and highly priced 2003 Bordeaux vintage."

Tom N. from Washington, DC writes...

"I love this newsletter. It encourages me to try wines I might not otherwise try, not only does it put different ratings together, but it lets you see the range of vintages for a particular rating. This is very instructive because a cross comparisons of, say, 90 ratings, does a lot to tell me what that number really means to me."
