This month's issue covers many Southern Red Rhone, West Coast Pinot Noir, and West Coast Syrah wines that were scored last month by the wine critics. At the high scoring end, the 2004 Carmel Road, Pinot Noir Arroyo Seco received an average score of 92 points and at $20 it is 27% of the average cost for a similar scoring West Coast Pinot Noir. The 2005 Louis Latour, Red Burgundy Beaune Vignes Franches received an average score of 91 and at $43 it is 39% of the average $109 cost for a similar scoring Red Burgundy earning it a "Great Value" moniker. The At the value end of $15 the 2005 Louis Latour, Red Burgundy Marsannay received an average score of 88 points and is 26% the average $57 cost for a similar scoring Red Burgundy. At $8 the 2005 Cycles Gladiator, Syrah Central Coast received an average score of 87 points and is 37% the average $26 cost for a similar scoring West Coast Syrah. A total of 465 wines are profiled in this issue.
